It seems that surf beach in El Tunco, El Salvador is the place to be if you want to just skip Christmas Eve. The beaches of Tulum are quite stunning. Soft sand everywhere and clear ocean for snorkeling. You can rent a cabañas from the beach or stay at the hostels that are located about 2 kilometeres from the beach. Maybe 500 meteres from this place were the Mayan ruins of Tulum. My friend from Finland bought flights to Mexico on Monday and he arrived here last night. My old plan was to hang around in Guadalajara for another 3 weeks but that plan had to be changed.
