Resetting in the Caribbean Sea
Hiking in Guatemala, RESET!
Surfing in El Salvador, RESET!
Diving in Honduras, RESET!
My life while traveling is turning out to be like that. When I move on to a new place I kind of “have to” reset everything and start over. Almost always all places I’ve been to have one thing in common – I don’t look back or think about the future. I do miss people and places I’ve met on the way but I’m not really sad of moving on. I know that someday I’m going to cross baths with some of those people and places.
I just finished my scuba diving course and the past days have been so intense that I’ve totally blocked the outside world out of my mind. Not being able to use internet that much has helped as well. Being isolated just in front of the coast of Honduras on this Island called Utila has been yet another great new experience. I wouldn’t want to live here but I can see how many people get stuck here for months to become Dive Masters.
For me tomorrow will probably be my last day of diving for now. After that it’s time to push the Reset -button and move on. Yet again another place where I haven’t taken that many photos because other things have kept me busy. I’m not sure anymore if these other things are an excuse or if I’m getting lazy. Other excuse is that it’s been raining here non-stop for the past 5 days, heavily. It wasn’t really what I was thinking about the Caribbean Sea…
I’ll put some photos online of the island when I get back to “civilization” and fast internet. Hopefully I’ll get off from this pirate island on Friday. It all depends if the ferries run or not (read: if the sea isn’t too ruff). The good thing is that I’m not in a hurry, so RESET can always wait.
Oh! I gave up on trying to see everything in every place. It’s just not possible. Realizing that has made this thing called living a lot more enjoyable. :D
